Schynige Platte, altitude 1967 metres, offers panoramic views of the Bernese Alps: over to sparkling snows and glistening glaciers, to impressive peaks including Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, down to the lush valleys of the two Lutschine rivers, to the flat plain of Interlaken and the shimmering waters of Lakes Thun and Brienz.
